Here are some photos from a couple of trips my buddy Dave took up to the green river, one just a few weeks ago, and the other back in July. The Green River fishery is as healthy as it has been in over 20 years! if you get a chance, get up there and hook in to some of the fat rainbows and browns that inhabit the river!
These are some beautiful pictures of very healthy browns and rainbows, and a beautiful river. When fishing these beautiful waters we do it strictly for sport. Catch and release gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of these magnificent fish, snap a picture and set them free to be caught again.

I am Blaine Townsend and I have recently discovered the art of fly fishing. This blog is about fly fishing. Fly fishing using dry flies to be more specific. The mastermind behind my new found addiction is David Wood. He will be joining me in this blog process and we hope to give you a greta understanding of our love for this sport.
Most of our fishing is done on the Middle Provo River, which runs between Jordanelle and Deer Creek Damn near Heber, UT. The Middle Provo is home to wild Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout.
Throughout the year this blog will contain pictures and fishing stories from our personal experience. We will be using dry flies only and sharing techniques and flies used.

Fishing has been great lately on the Middle Provo. The stretch down river from Legacy Bridge has been fishing fast! There is something magical going on in the water right now.
The warm weather has been giving rise to many hatches and bringing a lot of fish to the surface. These Olive Body Caddis's have been working great.
We have seen days with 20 - 30 fish of all sizes. Up and down the river there are beautiful holes with monsters swimming around.
The fishing is great in the early hours of the afternoon. From 10 am - 2 pm there are fish rising everywhere you look. Once 2 hits they just stop. This gives a great opportunity to lay by the river an take a nap, or break for lunch and beers.
